As the School year winds down, all WWS Staff are encouraged to register for two IT training sessions that will take place in Robertson Hall over the summer months. The classes are designed to help you prepare for new technology that is being adopted by the School – Office 2007 and SharePoint.
The first session, Introduction to SharePoint – WWS Only, is a hands-on class that introduces SharePoint to the new user. Participants will learn to navigate a SharePoint site and contribute content such as announcements, discussions and documents. The following dates are available for this 2.5 hour class:
Wednesday, June 25th 9:00 - 11:30
Tuesday, July 22nd 9:30 - 12:00
Thursday, August 7th 1:30 - 4:00
The second session, Office 2007: What's New; What's Different - WWS Only, presents the new fluent interface for Office 2007, and covers new and different features in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Participants will get acquainted with the Ribbon and Quick Access toolbar, explore new graphics features, and learn the best ways to work with the new file formats while maintaining compatibility with earlier versions of Office. This 2.5 hour course will be offered on the following dates:
Tuesday, July 15th 9:30 - 12:00
Wednesday, August 13th 1:30 - 4:00
