The Princeton AIDS Initiative (PAI) aims to bring students, faculty, alumni, and other members of the University community together to focus on the devastating HIV/AIDS pandemic. This initiative is motivated by a recognition that few international problems demand more immediate attention and creative action than the problem of HIV/AIDS. While the focus of most efforts of the PAI will be on the problem of AIDS in the developing countries - where more than 90 percent of infected people worldwide currently reside - attention will also be paid to the still problematic AIDS epidemic that resides locally and nationally.
