The Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats allows users to open, edit, and save files with Office 2003 Word, Excel and PowerPoint using the file formats new to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007.

This software was distributed to all DeSC machines on the evening of May 16, 2007. For non-DeSC machines you have several options:

• Go to Microsoft and download the Compatibility Pack
• Attempt to open an Office 2007 document. You will be prompted to download the Pack
• Contact the WWS Help Desk to arrange to have the Pack downloaded to your laptop.
