Leaving Princeton
It is Princeton University policy for OIT to terminate accounts four weeks following the departure of a faculty or staff member from the University. For full details on Princeton's policy see Solution 5855.
Please take steps to arrange for moving any files you may continue to need, (including e-mail) and to notify your correspondents, if any, who may have been writing you at your e-mail address. Once your account is terminated, you will not be able to retrieve mail from your Princeton account. However, any mail forwarding for your e-mail address will continue for one year. OIT recommends that you forward your e-mail for this one-year period and send out notification of your address change to your colleagues, friends, and family.

Digital Suitcase
OIT has created a suite of tools to help graduating students and visitors pack their IT property (such as e-mail messages, H: drive files, and Blog entries) and take it with them when they leave.
