Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs has announced that U.S. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) will deliver a policy address titled "Challenges for U.S. Foreign Policy in the Middle East" on the Princeton campus on Wednesday, Jan. 18, at 7:30 p.m. in Alexander Hall's Richardson Auditorium.

Clinton's speech is scheduled as part of the celebrations surrounding a newly created professorship, the S. Daniel Abraham Visiting Professor in Middle East Policy Studies, the first holder of which is Ambassador Daniel C. Kurtzer, former U.S. ambassador to Israel and Egypt.

"We are delighted Senator Clinton is coming during the 75th anniversary of the Woodrow Wilson School to inaugurate the S. Daniel Abraham Chair," said Anne-Marie Slaughter, dean of the School. "The Abraham Chair will be the focal point of a host of School activities related to the Middle East for years to come."

Kurtzer also lauded Clinton's visit as a promising opportunity to broaden discussions about Middle East issues.

"Senator Clinton's visit is indicative of the terrific response from Washington policy circles and from the region to the creation of the Abraham Chair," Kurtzer said. "After a very rewarding career in the Foreign Service, I am excited to join the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton. This is an exciting opportunity to bring together the University community with high level officials and public figures involved with the Middle East for serious discussion of contemporary issues."

Clinton's address is a University community-only event and is not open to the general public.

Tickets are no longer available for this event. The event will be simulcast live in Dodds Auditorium, Robertson Hall and will be open to the general public.
