Graduate Scholarships

The graduate Scholars program is open to applicants to the Woodrow Wilson School's M.P.A. program. M.P.A. applicants who wish to be considered for the Scholars in the Nation's Service scholarship must indicate that on their WWS graduate application, and submit an additional one-page statement explaining the reason for applying to the Scholars Initiative. Applicants should also identify the policy issues and government agencies they wish to pursue. Those selected will defer their admission to the M.P.A. program for two years while completing the government service requirement. Graduate Scholars must agree to work two years in the federal government before enrolling in the M.P.A. two year degree program.

All applicants must be U.S. citizens.

"The significance of this new initiative extends far beyond the incentive it will provide for a limited number of exceptional students to find a challenging and satisfying position in government. By recognizing in a concrete way the compelling need to maintain a strong civil service able to support American policies and leadership, the Princeton initiative should help catalyze further efforts to rebuild a sense of competence and confidence in government."
